| Itinerary: Day 4 — September 27, Wednesday We ll head north this morning into Vermont and to Burlington. Here we ll stop to visit the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory showroom and gift shop. How many of you know how the Teddy Bear got its name? Before departing Burlington we ll stop for lunch on your own. This afternoon we ll head across the colorful Green Mountains to Waterbury and our tour of the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. This is apple season so you will see them processing the apples and hear the story of apple cider. The gift shop is wonderful and you will have time to browse the shop. Later we ll continue across Vermont viewing the wonderful fall scenery to Woodstock, noted for its Commons, well-preserved homes and covered bridges. We ll take a break in the downtown area of this New England community. Next we ll stop to visit Quechee Gorge, Vermont s "Little Grand Canyon", then check into our hotel, the Quality Inn at Quechee Gorge. After time to unpack and refresh you will be free to have dinner on your own, the Black Angus Cafe is right next door. |
